Hashkey Capital raises $500 million from institutional investors

GB Market Commentary 18/01/2023

by Marcus Sotiriou

Hashkey Capital, a global asset manager that focuses on crypto, has just announced the closing of a $500 million fund called “Hashkey Fintech Investment III.” This fund will be allocating capital toward Web3 concepts and helping to develop blockchain/crypto solutions.

Hashkey said that the fund “received strong support from institutional investors namely sovereign wealth funds, renowned family offices, and corporations.”

Managing more than $1 billion in assets, Hashkey Capital is one of the largest crypto funds in Asia.

This fundraise shows how investors continue to allocate to the crypto sector, and institutional interest is still there. This is further shown through Animoca Brands planning to grow its portfolio by 30% by the end of 2023, according to co-founder Yat Sui.
