Social Media Manager

The Company

GlobalBlock is a UK based cryptocurrency broker whose three brand pillars are service, transparency and security. We are different because unlike the dominant volume driven cryptocurrency exchanges, we put service first.

We were established in 2018, take regulation seriously and are one of only a handful of cryptocurrency companies that are publicly owned (we are listed on the TSXv in Toronto as BLOK.)

We have an experienced management team with a track record of building successful, regulated financial services businesses.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and professional social media manager (3 years+) who has worked within the B2C environment. Ideally you will have experience in cryptocurrency or NFT markets or within gaming, derivatives, FX or ETFs.

You will be responsible for developing, guiding and monitoring GlobalBlock presence across multiple social media platforms (building a strong community). Your  duties encompass a wide range of disciplines and skills, including strategy and planning development, management, delivery and content creation.

You’ll be based in the UK and be able to work from our London office at least twice a week.
You’ll be reporting into the Head of Marketing to build a strong online presence and community on the various social channels, with the end goal to drive new user acquisition.

You will be responsible for creating original text and video/gifs, surveys, content, managing posts and responding/engaging to followers, partners, sharing relevant news etc...

You will manage GlobalBlock’s image in a cohesive way to achieve our social media goals.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence using a unified voice and ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement/acquisition.
